State Treasury Activities & Functions 2004-2005
First introduced in 1983, State Treasury Activities & Functions serves as the premier source for information about the office of the state treasurer. STAF has expanded to nearly 125 tables spanning more than 300 pages of text.

Chapters are divided for ease of use and are split up into categories addressing:

  • Functions of the State Treasurer

  • State Pension Funds

  • Unclaimed Property

  • Debt and Cash Management

  • Qualified Tuition Programs

  • Investment Policies and Practices

And much much more....

Included in this expanded text, is new data relating to a treasurer’s corporate governance policies as well as their use of economically targeted investments. There’s several new charts related to a state’s use of electronic benefit transfers and other means of electronic disbursement for cash management activities. As the use of derivatives has grown as an option for debt issuance, three new charts have been introduced dealing specifically with this financial instrument. For your convenience we’ve also added a new enhanced glossary reference section.

If there’s any treasury related question you need answer, STAF is your research source. State Treasury Activities & Functions ensures that you will always have the most vital public finance information at your fingertips.

Once described as "the very definition of a municipal market best-seller" by Grants Municipal Bond Observer, State Treasury Activities & Functions has been expanded from 80 tables in 1997 to 115 tables.
